When you sign up with the Campbelltown Ghosts Baseball Club, we provide the following playing equipment and uniform:
*All grades – game and training balls
*Aussie T-Ball, T-Ball, Zooka – Club bats, batting helmets and gloves are provided at training and games
*Aussie T-Ball, T-Ball, Zooka, Little League Majors Player Pitch, Little League Majors – one free Ghosts baseball cap
*All junior players – free training shirt (will be replaced once the player has grown out of it or it has started to wear).
Outside of this, limited equipment is supplied. For comfort and hygiene reasons, it’s a great idea for each player to have their own ‘basics’ at training and games:
THE BASICS
*Baseball glove
*Baseball cleats (shoes) and socks (blue)
*Baseball pants (grey) and belt (blue)
*Baseball cap – available from the Club as a compulsory part of the uniform
THE REST
*Bats – teams in all grades are supplied with a kit which includes one or two Club bats. You are free to use these, or you may prefer to buy your own. Note bats can be very expensive and must comply with the rules of baseball which can change every now and then. Seek advice before you buy a bat.
*Batting helmet – team kits are also supplied with a limited number of helmets. For comfort and hygiene reasons, we encourage all players to invest in their own helmet.
*Batting gloves – not compulsory but can assist with comfort and safety.
*Playing top – Ghosts supplies all teams with their playing tops. These must be cared for and returned at the end of the season in good condition. There is a replacement fee for any missing or damaged uniform.
*Catcher’s gear – team kits contain at least one set of Catcher’s gear for use in training and at games. Catcher’s gear is very expensive so we recommend purchases should only be made by those wanting to seriously focus on catching and/or umpiring.
*Gear bags – because everyone needs a way to cart their equipment around!
WHERE TO BUY
We recommend you get in touch with our Club sponsors and supporters, Kay’s Custom Sportswear and RBI Australia. Both of these local businesses are very familiar with Ghosts and the MBL and are able to provide you the right advice and gear.
